Dear friends and colleagues,
The unprecedented global outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and
associated restrictions in travelling forced us to postpone the
ENVIRA2020 School that was planned for 28 September–2 October in
Thessaloniki, Greece,
for 14-18 June 2021.
We would like to thank the applicants for interest to participate in
ENVIRA2020 School, and we hope that this will continue for the next
year’s event as well.
We also hope that you, your families and colleagues stay unaffected by
this global disease.
Deadlines for re-confirmation, update or cancellation of already
submitted applications, as well as for submission of new applications
will be announced in due course.

About ENVIRA 2020 School on Environmental Radioactivity
This ENVIRA2020 School is the first in a series of ENVIRA School activities.
It is mainly intended for doctoral students and open to applicants from universities and other research institutions. It consists of plenary lectures delivered by prominent scientists and is organized in series of several courses on the following topics.• Atmospheric Radioactivity
The official language of the school is English. Appropriate English in understanding and speaking is therefore required. Students will present during the school posters describing their scientific activities (not compulsory).
• Terrestrial and Marine Radioactivity
• Natural and Anthropogenic Radionuclides
• Transport of Radionuclides in the Environment
• Radionuclides as Tracers of Environmental Processes
• Modelling of Environmental Processes
• Radioecology and Dose Assessment
• Radionuclides in Climate Change Studies

Venue
The School will take place at Santa Beach Hotel which is located on the beach of Nei Epivates in the municipality of Thermaikos, Thessaloniki.

• Single room HB @ 65€ / night
• Double room HB @ 100€ / night (50€ / person / night)
The students who will choose a double room could share it with another participant.
For those who decide to stay in another hotel or apartment, there are plenty of options at lower price nearby the Venue. -
Participation Costs
The course fee for the School is 200 €. This includes tuition and organization fees.

Applications will be accepted until 10/5/2020.
The applicants will be informed for acceptance until 31/5/2020.
